Just stumbled onto this website while I was looking for information on German Oligocene fossils. It has great photos of all sorts of fossil evidence of boring organisms (and that’s not “boring” as in “dull”)! I would recommend using Google Translate to read the page, of course…
Some other interesting pages on this site:
- “A Worldwide Cancer and Crab Parade,” by Stefan Polkowsky (if you’re into crabs…)
- Photo galleries of Tertiary fossil specimens (I saw some muricids mixed in)
And one last link from this site…with some pictures of the natural history museum in Berlin… I really love European museums, because they display lots of bulk specimens packed as close together as they can get them, rather than just having a specimen here and there with 6 feet of backboard text to read behind each one. American museums are good at telling stories; European museums are good at just plain letting you ogle!!!
